PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a general-purpose IC memory card capable of operating a boot block flash memory by an existing host system expecting an even block flash memory. SOLUTION: A boot flash memory control circuit 303 is arranged in an interface IC302. When a deletion command and an address are issued from a host system 300 and it is detected that the address designates a boot block, the boot block flash memory control circuit 303 outputs the address of the boot block and a deletion command for deleting a plurality of boot blocks. By the single deletion command from the host system 300, a plurality of boot blocks can be deleted, and from the host system, a plurality of boot blocks can be handled as a single block virtually.
