PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain microwave resonant energy in a microwave package. SOLUTION: In the optical microwave package, sending out of an electric mode to a microwave strip line is prevented by forming a recessed part (moat, hollow) in the housing part of the package in order to restrain microwave resonant energy. A conductive material may be filled into the recessed part in order to further restrain resonance of the package. Further, the bottom part of a substrate arranged within the housing is isolated from any conductive metal in order to all the more restrain microwave resonant energy.
