PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for measuring the location of the occurrence of impulse sound, capable of outputting only a relative sound source location computed from the combination of arrival time differences of only impulse sound as the location of the occurrence of impulse sound by preventing a relative sound source location of noise from being outputted as the location of the occurrence of impulse sound even if wrong detection occur due to noise. SOLUTION: In the system for measuring the location of the occurrence of impulse sound, acoustic sensors are constituted as an acoustic sensor array, and the measuring system is provided with a means for computing a first arrival location of impulse sound at the acoustic sensor array through the use of the acoustic sensor array group, a means for geometrically computing a second arrival direction at the acoustic sensor array from the computed relative sound source location, and a means for determining the reliability of the relative sound source location by comparing the direction difference between the first arrival direction and second arrival direction. When the direction difference between the first arrival direction, computed by the acoustic sensor array and the second arrival direction computed from the relative sound source location, which is the point of intersection of hyperbolas, lies within a fixed error range, it is decided as being a correct sound source location.
