PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal intensity detector which secures accuracy and the number of digits in the detection of the intensity of noise-oriented input signals having a broad dynamic range, regardless of the variations in the input level. SOLUTION: The number of digits of an intensity detection data is secured, even for a low input signal level by controlling the upper limit value of a reference voltage with respect to an input signal of an A/D converter, while a correction is made according to the operation of an attenuator and a set value of the reference voltage, thereby outputting a signal intensity data itself.
