PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat loss measuring instrument that measures gas pressure under a certain environment and has an accurate pressure measuring range with one measuring instrument from a low pressure to a high pressure. SOLUTION: This heat loss pressure measuring instrument comprises a resistance detecting element 12, a resistance compensating element 14 that exists in a circuit having the detecting element 12, has a temperature responsiveness and a physical characteristic substantially fitting to those of the detecting element 12, and is disposed under an environment substantially the same as environment under which the resistance detecting element 12 is disposed, power supplies 62 and 64, and a measuring circuit 51. The power supplies 62 and 64 are connected to the detecting element 12 and the compensating element 14 to supply currents to these elements 12 and 14, these two currents have a defined ratio, and the current flowing through the detecting element 12 is sufficiently larger than that through the compensating element 14. The measuring circuit 51 measures gas pressure of an environment including these elements 12 and 14, based on the electrical responsiveness of the elements 12 and 14.
