PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a small size actuator to properly work not affected by electromagnetic induction noise caused by high-tension current and high voltage. SOLUTION: This small size actuator has a chamber 12, a piston 13, an operational member 14, and two light guide means 16, 17. The chamber 12 fills a working fluid inside. The piston 13, dividing the chamber 12 into two chambers, can move inside the chamber 12. The operational member 14 is connected to the piston 13. The two light guide means 16, 17 guide the light individually from a light source 15 to each chamber 12a, 12b divided by the piston 13. Either the guide means 16 or the guide means 17 guides the light to either of the two chambers 12a and 12b, so that the light changes the working fluid condition that can move the operational member 14 thorough the piston 13.
