PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium using an organic dye and capable of preventing the deterioration of a recorded signal due to irradiation with UV. SOLUTION: In the optical information recording medium with a transparent substrate 1, an organic dye-containing recording layer 2 formed on one face of the substrate 1 and a reflecting layer 3 formed on the recording layer 2, a UV shielding layer 6 based on at least one oxide selected from the group comprising zinc oxide, titanium dioxide and cerium oxide is formed on the light incident face of the medium opposite to the face of the substrate 1 with the formed recording layer 2 or on the face of the substrate 1 on which the recording layer 2 is formed. |
