摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver by which a user can surely send/receive data through an IEEE1394 bus with security without being conscious of. SOLUTION: A demultiplexer section selects video or music contents according to an instruction from a user given by a command entry section and gives the selected contents to an MPEG2 decoding section and an IEEE1394 bus interface section. On the other hand, a CPU decides a protocol used when data are transferred through the IEEE1394 bus according to an instruction from the user and a transfer state of the bus. Then the data supplied to the IEEE1394 bus interface section are outputted to a device on an IEEE1394 network via an authentication and encryption/decoding section that authenticates communication units and encrypts/decodes the data, a transfer protocol support section that converts the data to have the decided protocol among transfer protocols and a bus control section.
