PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transaction number managing method which can guarantee the security of a cart ID (transaction number) including a serial reception number while making it open to the public. SOLUTION: This cart ID is constituted including reception information including at least the reception number (serial number) showing the reception order of transaction and meaningless cipher information. Further, the reception information preferably has date information on the issue of the card ID. Thus, the cart ID includes the cipher information in addition to the conventional reception information having the date information and reception number and then even when the card ID is made open to the bearer, it can be prevented from being known by others. For example, even if a malicious user tries to obtain the card ID of some user by shifting the reception number, the card ID can not be obtained without the matching cipher information since the cipher information is a random code. Further, this card ID includes the date information and reception number, so those numbers can immediately be used without being ciphered. |
