LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with high display quality and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device carries out displaying by applying voltage to a liquid crystal layer which is in a vertical aligned state with no voltage applied to the first and second electrodes. The first electrode is provided with a lower conductive layer, a dielectric layer covering at least a part of the lower conductive layer and an upper conductive layer arranged on the liquid crystal layer side of the dielectric layer. The upper conductive layer is provided with conductive layer opening parts and further the lower conductive layer is arranged opposite to at least a part of the conductive layer opening part via the dielectric layer. The dielectric layer is provided with a recessing part in a region corresponding to the conductive layer opening part. The dielectric layer includes a second dielectric layer formed on a first dielectric layer and the recessing part has an opening part formed on the first dielectric layer.
