PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the exiting light rays from plural light sources incident uniformly and efficiently on a light valve. SOLUTION: A plurality of light source sections 10, consisting of light- emitting diodes 16 and coupling lenses 17 as the light sources, are disposed as a light source unit 11. The light rays, emitted from the respective light source sections 10, are made incident on the light valve 15 via a condenser lens 18 and an integrator 12. |
