PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar antenna which is kept constant in transmission/ reception sensitivity in all directions and can be reduced in size. SOLUTION: A planar antenna includes a dielectric layer prescribed in thickness, a first and second grounding layer which are each formed so as to correspond to the upper and lower surface of the dielectric layer, a first antenna formed on the sides of the first and second grounding layer having a prescribed pattern and radiating first polarized radio waves when a power is fed, a second antenna formed on the sides of the first and second grounding layer having a prescribed pattern and radiating second polarized radio waves crossing the first polarized radio waves at right angles when a power is fed, and feed channels which are provided between the first and second antenna to fed to power to them where the first and second antenna are capable of radiating radio waves independent of each other.
