<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an icon generating method, an icon generating system, an icon information transmitting device, and a recording medium which make it easier to perform access to a desired WWW site. SOLUTION: A user U notices the identification information of an advertisement provider indicated in a banner F set in a city. Then, the user U, when coming back home, transmits the identification information to an icon generating device 1 by using terminal equipment 2, 2..., and obtains contents information related with the advertisement provider identified according to the identification information. Then, the user confirms the contents information, and when the user desires to perform access to a WWW site related with the contents information, the user receives icon information related with an icon to be used for starting a program for performing access to the WWW site from the icon generating device 1, and generates an icon on the basis of the icon information.</p> |
