DECODER, DECODING METHOD, MULTIPLEXER AND MULTIPLEXING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoder that allows one decoding means to decode plural streams composing of a multiplexed stream. SOLUTION: The decoder is provided with a demultiplexer means 102 that demultiplexes a multiplexed stream into streams through demultiplex processing and with a decoding means 109 that applies decode processing to any of the demultiplexed streams. Any of the demultiplexed streams is selected and outputted to the decoding means so that the decoding processing with respect to one stream by the decoding means is replaced with decoding processing for other stream.
