<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the scale of equipment for testing an on- vehicle SAM is large because a set up card corresponding to each on-vehicle SAM and actual roadside equipment are required for testing the on-vehicle SAM itself. SOLUTION: A testing set up card having a test card identification code is prepared and the presence/absence of the test card identification code and its contents are identified by the on-vehicle SAM. A test set up decoding key common to all the on-vehicle SAMs for decoding enciphered data and a function for releasing the protect of the set up card are provided within the on-vehicle SAM. In the case of testing, a fixed constant is used instead of a random number for authentication and a value to be used in authenticating the road side equipment is made to be the same fixed constant, thereby making always prescribed authentication data instead of authentication data to be provided from the road side equipment. Thus, the plural on-vehicle SAMs can be tested by the common set up card without using the roadside equipment.</p> |
