PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating liquid for a charge transfer layer of an electrophotographic photoreceptor, a method for manufacturing a photoreceptor and an electrophotographic photoreceptor, such that the liquid does not cause whitening under a wide range of coating conditions when an electrophotographic photoreceptor is manufactured, that the obtained electrophotographic characteristics are equal to or higher than the characteristics obtained by using a conventional halogen-based solvent, and that the photoreceptor is superior in potential characteristics, durability, image characteristics and resolution, under a wide range of usage conditions, starting from the initial stage of image formation over a long-term use. SOLUTION: In an electrophotographic photoreceptor, having a charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer deposited on a conductive support body, the solvent of the coating liquid for constituting the charge transfer layer is prepared by combining dimethoxymethane, ethyleneglycol dimethyl ether and aromatic hydrocarbons (except for benzene).
