PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for an underground structure below a water bottom where water resistance in water is small and the underground structure below the water bottom. SOLUTION: A follower 47 for caisson is put in an upper part of a caisson 29, and the follower 47 for caisson and the caisson 29 are pressed in the water bottom 5 by a jack 53 for pressing-in. The water bottom 5 in a part where they are pressed in is digged. The number of the followers 47 for caisson is increased by the required number to dig and press in repeatedly.
