PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highway bridge expansion joint capable of completely cutting off water for a seam of the bridge expansion joint of all bridges and viaducts standing for long time vibration, being easily constructed in a job site, and corresponding to the joint width, and the expansion joint structure of the road width. SOLUTION: In this highway bridge expansion joint having an opening part of a rail joint in a joint part between one highway bridge end and the other road bridge end confronting each other of a split type vehicle running road bridge and provided with a rubber gutter 2 for cutoff of water in the opening part of the rail joint, the joint face between the rubber gutters 2 is provided with a water expansive water cutoff material.
