<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components, and to relax the precision of a positional relation between an actuator and a fixed substrate, and to reduce manufacturing costs. SOLUTION: A face-shaped resistor 7 is arranged between a switch member 1 and a fixed substrate 10 on which the switch member 1 is mounted, and an actuator 4 whose one edge is provided with an input operating part 5 and whose other end is provided with a projecting spherical face part 6 is integrated into the switch member 1, and the position data of the input operating part 5 are read by using electric characteristics generated when the projecting spherical face 6 is brought into contact with the face-shaped resistor 7 in this pointing device. The actuator 4 and a base part for supporting the actuator 4 are integrally connected through a flexible dome-shaped thin part 8 by which the input operating part 5 is supported so as to be freely shakable, and the face-shaped resistor 7 is integrally formed on the surface of the projecting spherical face part 7 so that a part of the face-shaped resistor 7 can be brought into point- contact with the fixed substrate 10 corresponding to the operation of the input operating part 5.</p> |
