<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of low characteristics and high cost of a photoelectric converter employing crystalline semiconductor particles. SOLUTION: A large number of first conductivity type particulate crystalline semiconductors are arranged on a substrate, a pn junction is formed by forming a second conductivity type semiconductor layer on the particulate crystalline semiconductors, and an insulator is provided between the second conductivity type semiconductor layer and the substrate to obtain a photoelectric converter. The second conductivity type semiconductor layer is formed of a mixture of crystalline and amorphous semiconductor layers, and a dielectric protective film is formed continuously to the second conductivity type semiconductor layer.</p> |
