PICKUP FEEDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pickup feeding mechanism which lends itself to the common use of a drive source for a disk player. SOLUTION: This pickup feeder is provided with a moving mechanism which moves a pickup by a moving member moving together with a rack member meshed with a feed screw rotationally driven by a drive source and moves the rack member moved by the movement of this moving member to a non- threaded part of the feed screw, by which the rotation of the feed screw is permitted even after the pickup arrives at its innermost position and the rotation of the drive source is continued. The pickup feeder which lends itself to the driving of another mechanism, such as a clamping mechanism.
