PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate an image adjusting work to alleviate moire. SOLUTION: A moire processing part 46 alleviates the moire of an image read by a reflection document scanner. A degree of alleviating the moire of a second filter 52 is stronger than that of a first filter 51. The moire processing part 46 is set in each of first to third modes according to the degree of alleviating the moire. The first and second filters 51, 52 are not used in the first mode. The first filter 51 is used in the second mode and the second filter 52 is used in the third mode respectively. Each of the first to third modes is selectively switched by a selector. The first mode is selected when the contents of the original are mainly characters, the second mode is selected when they are mainly halftone images, the third mode is selected when they are mixture of the halftone image and characters, and an optimal moire processing according to the contents of the original is performed. |
