PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a method and an apparatus for producing a gas hydrate by reacting a gas hydrate formation substance (e.g. methane) with water to efficiently produce a high-concentration gas hydrate, capable of speeding up formation of a gas hydrate. SOLUTION: This apparatus for producing a gas hydrate is characterized in that the apparatus is equipped with a gas hydrate formation reaction device 1 for setting the temperature and pressure of the inside at gas hydrate formation conditions, a methane supplying means (gas hydrate formation substance supplying means) GS for supplying the gas hydrate formation substance such as methane, etc., to the gas hydrate formation reaction device 1 and spray nozzles (spray means) 14 for spraying water on a gas phase G in the gas hydrate formation reaction device 1 and the spray nozzles are mutually opposingly arranged at both ends of the gas hydrate formation reaction device 1 and sprays water on the gas hydrate formation substance opposingly in the right and left directions. |
