PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a position-detecting device to be installed positioning adjustment when a position-detecting element is replaced, and to eliminate the error operation caused by no good positioning adjustment. SOLUTION: The position-detecting device 3 detects the axial position of a moving member that moves relatively to the axial direction for a base member. The detecting device 3 has a rough T shape groove 31 set axially in the base member, an attaching part 65 set on at least one side in the axial direction, a positioning member 45 fixed in the groove 31 by inserting in the groove 31 and tightening a screw 67, and the position-detecting element 41. The detecting element 41 has an attaching hook part 52 that can move only in the axial direction for the groove 31 and can attach in the axial direction for the attaching part 65.
