PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording device which requests the ending of a disk exchange while data which does not generate any problems when lacks among a series of the continuously provided data is provided. SOLUTION: This information recording device has a recording means (45) which records the data to an optical disk, a residual capacity detecting means (10) which detects the recordable remaining capacity of the optical disk changing with the recording of the data when the data is recorded to the optical disk by the recording means and a requesting means (10) which requests the exchange of the optical disk to be recorded when the drop of the recordable remaining capacity detected by the residual capacity detecting means is elucidated to attain the prescribed capacity or below and when the change in the certain specific characteristic of the data recorded on the optical disk is detected.
