<p>The invention relates to methods and devices for cleaning and conditioning the air in a passenger compartment of a means of transport and in the other relatively hermetic areas. The inventive method consists in alternately removing humidity and dust, chemisorbed compounds and catalytic poisons from the incoming air according to the composition of the air, using two streams. Filters are alternately regenerated in one of the streams. The inventive device for carrying out said method comprises two ventilators, each being connected to a valve box and absorptive and catalytic filters, a heater, a regulated air flap and a control unit of the device in relation to the air quality. The invention maintains an equilibrium between the streams of a plenum ventilation and the stream of the relief air obtained during regeneration making it possible to cool the regenerated absorptive filter in a quick manner and to quickly switch the device on and off in relation to the quantity and quality of the harmful impurities inside the relatively hermetical area.</p> |
