The coupling ring is for a synchronizing device and has a ring body (2) made from sheet, and a gear crown (3) projecting radially outwards from the ring body. A stop (4), made separately, is fixed to the gear crown. The teeth of the crown are uniformly spaced. The stop is produced by a method which does not include machining.
