The roller blind for a car side window is mounted in a sleeve (11) mounted at the top of the window frame (1). The blind (6) is withdrawn through a slit (5) in a trough (4) which fits on to the base of the sleeve over a flexible, hollow profile (9). A flexible rod (8) is fitted at the base of the blind. When the blind is rolled up, its shape corresponds to the curve of the top of the frame, while the rod is straight when the blind is unrolled.
