[Also in Group XXV] Extensions 4 of a king pin 1 of an independent road wheel suspension each carry a ball member 5 of a ball joint (see Group XXV) the socket member 9 of which is rigid with a wishbone link 10. The end 4a of the extension 4 may be radiussed so as to engage the spherical surface of the member 9. Alternatively the end surface of a retaining nut 6 may be radiussed to serve this function. |
