The invention concerns a method for mounting a vehicle subassembly, such as, in particular, an instrument panel having a structural frame, method which consists in: assembling beforehand reinforcing means (1) designed to constitute partly the structural frame of said subassembly, and one or more functionally different elements (2), called element to be maintained, by a plurality of flexible linking means (3) enclosing said element(s) to be maintained (2) and said reinforcement means (1), to constitute a ready-to-assemble element (4) of said subassembly; assembling together said ready-to-assemble element and the other elements of the subassembly.
