The groove (6) acting as the track for the belt (5) is present in a rail secured to the vacuum cleaner casing (2) by adhesive, e.g. using glue or double-sided adhesive tape. The vacuum cleaner (1) is movable on e.g. wheels (4) and has an endless belt running around a groove in the casing periphery. Glide surfaces on the inside of the belt allow the latter to glide over groove wall sections and friction surfaces on the outside of the belt are designed to come into contact with objects against which the casing is pressed. An Independent claim is also included for a vacuum cleaner nozzle with an endless flexible belt which can move around a groove inside a rail secured to the nozzle in the same way as above. |
