Disclosed is an electronic commerce system and method using a credit card. In an electronic commerce system including a shopping mall server and a credit card company server, an authentication server checks authentication states of a credit card, a user personal computer performs electronic commerce using the authenticated credit card, and a temporary credit card number generating server randomly generates a temporary credit card number and a valid date and transmits the generated temporary credit card number, the valid date and a life time of the corresponding number to the user personal computer when a request for the temporary credit card number is input. Therefore, the credit card number and the valid date are used in the electronic commerce without being revealed to others. |
