<p>The invention relates to a method for replacing a roll in a calender. The calender comprises at least one calendering nip (N) which has been formed between two calender rolls (11, 12) and through which nip (N) a web (W) that is calendered has been guided to run, and a roll (14, 17) on both sides of the calender in the principal running direction (S) of the web (W). In the method, the calendering nip (N) is opened. At least one (14) of said rolls situated before and after the calender in the running direction of the web (W) is displaced such that the web (W) is guided to run during replacement of the roll out of contact with the roll which is replaced.</p> |
