Fixed (5.1) and adjustable (5.2) optical sensors are positioned beneath the sheet-feeder-table on the placement-line (10). Two inner optical sensors are fixed in the side edge part of the sheets within the minimal sheet-format. At least two further outer optical sensors are positioned on sensor-carriages (3) movable across the direction in which the sheets are conveyed. The positions of the sensor-carriages are adjustable by means of the actuator (4.1,4.2,7) and the rotary angle indicator (8). The top (1) of the sheet-feeder table along the displacement line of the adjustable optical sensors has cavities (6) for the optical sensors.
