INK SET FOR INK-JET RECORDING

An ink set for ink-jet recording which has a high color density on plain paper and on ink-jet recording papers, has satisfactory color reproducibility, and is excellent in delivery stability and storage stability. The ink set comprises a combination of black, yellow, magenta, and cyan inks each comprising a colorant comprising a pigment and/or dye surrounded by a polymer, an infiltrating agent, and water. Alternatively, the ink set comprises one or more combinations of such "black, yellow, magenta, and cyan inks", wherein the combinations differ at least in concentration. The pigment used in the black colorant is C.I. Pigment Black 7; the yellow colorant comprises one or more pigments selected among C.I. Pigment Yellows 55, 74, 110, 128, 150, 155, and 180; the magenta colorant comprises one or more pigments selected among C.I. Pigment Reds 122, 202, and 209; and the cyan colorant comprises one or more pigments selected among C.I. Pigment Blues 15, 15:1, 15:2, 15:3, 15:4, 15:6, and 16.
