The invention relates to a drive device (1) comprising an electric drive motor (2), a housing (4), at least one shaft (8) which is driven by the drive motor and means for compensating the axial clearance of said shaft. The invention is characterized in that a spring ring disk (19), which can be expanded radially counter to an elastic force and has two stopping surfaces radially extending towards each other on the axis of the shaft in the form of a wedge, is arranged on the shaft as said compensating means. The invention is also characterized in that shaft has a ring-shaped projection (22) which matches one of stopping surfaces and the housing has an annular collar(23) which matches the other stopping surface. The spring ring disc (19) is pre-tensed and arranged in between the projection (22) and the annular collar (23).
