The blade has a curved inner side to generate an over pressure and a curved outer side to generate an under pressure and is arranged in an annular fluid passage. The curved outer and inner sides lie on the same side of a chordal line. The blade has a first bead on the side of leading edge and a second bead on the side of its trailing edge. The distance from the leading edge to the front end of the second bead divided by the length of the chordal line is 0.6-0.9. An Independent claim is included for a guide blade cascade for an axial compressor.
