<p>The invention relates to castors and particularly, but not exclusively, to castors for use on equipment which may require levelling for use. The invention provides a castor (10) comprising a mounting by which the castor can be mounted to an object, a wheel carrier (16) operatively connected with said mounting, at least one wheel carried by said wheel carrier and a levelling device carried by the castor, said levelling device comprising a ground engaging part (32) movable relative to said mounting between a ground engaging condition in which, in use, said part engages ground on which said object is supported and a non-ground engaging retracted conditions.</p> |
