The package for an electric lamp is formed by folding sheet-shaped material and comprises first and second (8) gables with a side wall (10) extending between them. It contains a storage space for enclosure of an electric bulb. The periphery of the first gable is greater than that of the second gable and the side wall extending between the gables forms at least partly a sloping plane in its longitudinal extent. The first gable has an octahedral shape, or alternatively a periphery which has more than eight first side edges (12). The second gable has a quadratic shape, or alternatively a periphery with more than four second side edges (14). |
