AUTOMATIC PRICE CORRECTING SYSTEM

A automatic price correcting system enabling a seller and a buyer to communicate over a network. This system comprises: a standard price memory unit for storing a price, presented by the seller, as a standard price in response to the specification of an article presented by the buyer; a standard specification table for storing the specification of the article presented by the buyer; and a correction table for storing information necessary for correcting the price of the article presented by the seller. When the specifications of the article are changed, according to this system, the difference between the specifications of the article, as stored in the standard specification table, and the changed specifications of the article is converted into a correction value of the price with reference to the correction table. The standard price stored in the standard price storage unit is corrected with the correction value of the price. The price is estimated promptly and easily according to the change in the specifications to improve the efficiency of the specification change.
