<p>The present invention provides novel radioimaging probes for use in combination with clinical radioimaging techniques for the visualization of specific tissues or regions of the body. These probes can be packaged into a blood-borne delivery vehicle for targeted delivery to these specific tissues or regions. This invention further provides for the use of synthetic microemulsions or chemically modified human low-density lipoprotein (LDL), such as acetylated LDL (AcLDL), as delivery vehicles to target the radioimaging probes specifically to tissues or regions that contain high concentrations of LDL receptors.</p> |
