The intake tube has a header tube with individual tubes (20) with shorter and lower sections (1,2) branching off. The individual tubes are connected to each other flow-technically downstream of the shorter section. The connection channels (38) are controlled by additional rotary slides located in cross bores. The connections are open during part-load operation of the engine, and are closed during full load or almost full load.
