Toilet rim block for releasing dissolved cleaning and perfuming agents comprises 10-60 wt.% anionic surfactant, 1-20 wt.% perfume and 10-70 wt.% water-soluble alkaline earth metal salt. An Independent claim is also included for production of the block by extruding a mixture of the ingredients and cutting the extrudate into blocks of suitable size.
