<p>When filling a reactor (4), a minimum level (12) being lower than operating level (11) in the reactor (4) is maintained in a clarifying tank (1). Owing to this, inlet portion of a movable offtake arm (5) is maintained above the operating level (11) within the reactor (4). After the reactor (4) is filled to a maximum level (10) and after finish of the purification process and settling of activated sludge on the reactor (4) bottom the treated waste water is repumped by means of a filling device (13) from the reactor (4) into the clarifying tank (1) until levels in the reactor (4) and the clarifying tank (1) are leveled. This causes drop of the movable offtake arm (5) inlet portion below the level (12) of treated waste water and pumping-off or discharge of the treated water from the clarifying tank (1) into outflow is started. Apparatus for decanting the treated waste water from an activating tang with intermittent operation is formed by a movable offtake arm (5) disposed within a reactor (4) and provided with a float (7), whereby at one end said movable offtake arm (5) is provided with an inlet hole (6) while its other end enters a clarifying tank (1) in the wall of which it is movably fastened. A filling device (13) for repumping treated waste water from the reactor (4) into said clarifying tank (1) is located inside the reactor (4).</p> |
