A textile waterproofing composition comprises by weight (A) a mixture of (1) from 10 to 60% of Ti(OR)4, where each R is an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical of less than 12 C atoms or a hydroxylated or aminated aliphatic hydrocarbon radical of less than 12 C atoms and containing less than 4 OH groups, or a partial hydrolysate thereof, (2) from 25 to 75% of a methyl siloxane copolymer consisting essentially of (CH3)3 Si O0,5 and Si O2 units in amounts such that the CH3/Si ratio ranges from 1 to 1,25:1, (3) from 10 to 50% of a liquid siloxane of the formula <FORM:0847426/IV(a)/1> where each R1 is a monovalent hydrocarbon radical, a has a value of from 1,0 to 2,25, b has a value of from 0 to 1,25, the sum a + b being from 1,96 to 2,25 inclusive, the siloxane having a viscosity of from 5 to 106 cs. at 25 DEG C, and (B) a wax in amount of at least 10% of (A). Waxes specified are paraffin, halogenated paraffin, bees, synthetic hydrocarbon, microcrystalline, oxidised microcrystalline, ceresin and Japan waxes. In mixing the ingredients, a solvent, e.g. Stoddard solvent, mineral spirits, acetone, trichlorethylene, ethylene dichloride or an ether, is preferably used in conjunction with a liquefied gas, e.g. a chlorinated fluorinated alkane, for subsequent use from an aerosol pressure container.
