A method of correcting the stator flux estimate midpoint in alternating-current systems, the method comprising the step of determining a stator flux estimate (&PSgr;<CUSTOM-CHARACTER FILE="US06600290-20030729-P00900.TIF" ALT="custom character" HE="20" WI="20" ID="CUSTOM-CHARACTER-00001"/>s, est?).
