<p>A novel removable lacquer dispersion (I) consists of components (A) and (B) dispersed in an aqueous medium. (A) is a light-fast polyurethane-urea, (B) is a polymer derived from radical-polymerizable monomers and (A) and (B) are present at 40-90 (preferably 60-80) wt.% and 10-60 (preferably 20-40) wt.% respectively (based on resin solids). Independent claims are included for: (i) the preparation of (I) by separately preparing aqueous dispersions of (A) and (B) then mixing in the required ratio, or alternatively preparing the dispersion of (B) by radical emulsion polymerization in presence of a dispersion of (A); (ii) coatings prepared from (I); (iii) a method for recycling removable lacquer residues after removal, involving mechanically comminuting the lacquer films (optionally after purification) and either hot-pressing to plates or extrusion-granuling; and (iv) granules obtained by method (iii).</p> |
