PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven type moving shelf device for easily moving a shelf even at the time of emergency such as a power failure. SOLUTION: In this motor-driven type moving shelf device, the plural moving shelves 3 are made to travel and moved on a rail 4 laid on a floor surface adjacently to a fixed shelf 2 by driving motors 6 provided on the respective moving shelves 3 and a passage is formed between the shelves. An emergency operation circuit 16 provided with an emergency operation part 8 used for moving the moving shelf at the time of the emergency is arranged. In a normal operation circuit 15, the operation of a normal operation part 7 is enabled by receiving electricity from a power source cable 22, and a microcomputer, or the like, for enabling the execution of the movement control of the plural moving shelves 3 connected through a signal cable based on output signals from the normal operation part 7 is arranged. In the emergency operation circuit 16, the operation of the emergency operation part 8 is enabled by receiving the electricity from a battery 11 provided on a prescribed part and the electricity of the battery 11 is supplied to the driving motors 6 of the moving shelves 3 based on the output signals from the emergency operation part 8.
