PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle provided with an air- conditioning unit 10 for a rear seat, allowing effective air-conditioning suited to the liking of each occupant in each right or left seat in a cabin and independently air-conditioning each right or left seat in the cabin. SOLUTION: Cold air blown out of right and left cold air blowoff ports 12, 13 in the second and third rows respectively opened almost over the heads of the occupants in the right and left seats in a cabin, or warm air blown out of right and left warm air blowoff ports 32, 33 in the second and third rows respectively opened close to the foot parts of the occupants in the right and left seals in the cabin, are sucked from suction ports 52, 53 in the second and third rows provided at the respective right and left seats in the cabin, and returned to the air-conditioning unit 10 for the rear seat. The flow of air- conditioning air blown toward the occupants seated on the respective right and left seats in the cabin can thereby be effectively divided to the respective right and left seats.
