PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety cap of a simple structure at a low cost which can be easily unsealed/sealed by an adult while it cannot be unsealed by a baby. SOLUTION: Notches 6a and 6b in longitudinal stripes engaged with each other by the deformation caused by pressing an external body 4 are made in an outer circumferential surface of an opposing cap body 3 and an inner circumferential surface of the external body 4, and a ratchet mechanism 9 comprising saw-blade like projections 7 and grooves 8 arranged circumferentially is provided on the lower end side of the outer circumferential surface of the cap body 3 and the inner circumferential surface of the external body 4. When the external body 4 is rotated in the screwing direction into a mouth of a container, the ratchet mechanism 9 is engaged to allow the cap body 3 to be integrally rotated with the external body 4. When the external body is rotated in the loosening direction, the ratchet mechanism 9 is in a disengaged condition, and only the external body 4 is idled. |
